Dixie Bee Elementary

Welcome to Dixie Bee Elementary School, home of the BEES!

It is an exciting and rewarding job to be the principal of this fine school.  I am beginning my forty-third year in education and am in my thirteenth year as principal of Dixie Bee. I am proud to say I am a product of the Vigo County School Corporation and graduated from Indiana State University in 1978. My teaching career began at Ben Franklin Elementary School where I taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. I then moved to Honey Creek Middle School where I taught sixth grade and became the assistant principal my last year there. In the fall of 1999 I became the principal of Warren Elementary School and the following year, I became the principal at Fayette Elementary School. Since the fall of 2008 I have been blessed to be the principal of this great school!  My husband, David and I, have 2 sons, Chris and Scott, daughters-in-law, Kristy and Katie and two granddaughters, Avery and Carson. We all enjoy spending time together!  Please know the entire staff joins me in looking forward to an amazing educational journey this school year! Go BEES – let the learning begin!
